About the graduate school entrance examination system
All graduate schools offer entrance examinations for both regular applicants and working adults (except the Graduate School of Medical Sciences, which does not offer an examination for working adults).
The Graduate School of Humanities' Education and Clinical Psychology program, the Graduate School of Medical Sciences' Nursing Science program, and the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences' Pharmaceutical Health Science program do not offer an entrance examination for international students.
Entrance examination guidelines
The University stopped distributing a pamphlet describing its entrance examination guidelines with the 2020 academic year version of the document. That information is now available from our website and as a downloadable PDF file.(Japanese site)

Applicants with vision, hearing, or other physical disabilities
If you require special consideration in order to take the examination or study, for example due to an illness or disability, please contact the University's Graduate School Administration Office as soon as possible before you apply. (Please provide a doctor's certificate that describes the specific nature of your condition. If you have a disability passbook, please attach a copy.)
Support and Reasonable Accommodations for Test-takers and Students at Fukuoka University
Fukuoka University Graduate School implements examination accommodations and academic accommodations for students after enrollment in accordance with their physical disabilities (visual impairment, hearing impairment, physical handicaps, developmental disorders and poor health, etc.). If you need reasonable accommodation for the examination, please submit the necessary documents by the deadline. We will decide the necessary accommodation appropriate to the disabilities based on the details on the application. In addition, if you want the academic accommodations after enrollment, you have to apply for it separately. We encourage you to consult with the staff at Support Center for Students with Disabilities at an early stage, even if you are only considering filing an application.

Application deadline
One month before the start of application for each examination.
(The application periods differ for entrance examinations, therefore please refer to the admission requirements for each graduate school. )
Precautions
- We may not be able to meet your request after the application deadline due to insufficient preparation time. If you require examination accommodations due to a serious illness or unexpected accident or other unforeseen circumstances after the application deadline, please contact Fukuoka University Graduate School immediately.
- We may arrange a meeting or request additional documents etc., if necessary, to verify the information in your application and consider appropriate accommodations.
- Please note that we may not be able to accommodate your request depending on the result of the review.
- We will inform applicants of the decision regarding their examination accommodations before the examination period begins.
- Accommodations for a separate room may not be fully private, but instead a room shared with a small number of students.
Other
- We need enough time in accordance with the accommodations, so please submit the necessary documents with sufficient time before the deadline.
- We may use your personal information in the application documents only for examination or academic accommodations, in accordance with the "Fukuoka University Personal Data Privacy Policy."
